Pranav Jainani’s Journey to a US Public Ivy with a 100% Scholarship

Having moved from Surat to Mumbai for my graduation, I was initially shy and introverted. However, my transformation began when I joined clubs at Jai Hind College.

My study abroad journey started with the SEED Master’s Conclave in October 2023 at our college. I had always known that I wanted to study abroad someday, but I didn't anticipate it happening right after graduation. Among all the schools that visited our college, the MSc in Accounting program at William & Mary’s Raymond A.  Mason School of Business caught my interest, especially because it offered a focus on forensic accounting. I made sure to maximize my interaction with Ms. Amanda Barth, Wlliam & Mary’s admission director. I made the most of the interaction with SEED & the admission director that helped me craft a strong application the University & the SEED Scholarship. The conversations during & after the event played a pivotal role during my application process.

To my absolute amazement, not only did I receive an offer to study at my dream university but also I received the 100% fully- funded scholarship! It was a stuff of dreams! I cannot tell you how excited I was on reading that email. I froze. I checked the email twice & pinched myself. Everything was confirmed when I received a congratulatory call from the SEED team!

For anyone applying to a university and seeking a scholarship, my advice is, “Invest time in speaking with the Admissions Directors virtually or in person as well as with the SEED team, learn as much as you can about scholarship, give it your 200% & finally, trust the process”
