Flexible Program Duration with Specialization Options

The MFin program offers flexibility to suit diverse career goals. Students can complete the 30-credit-hour core curriculum in as little as two semesters (approximately 9 months). Alternatively, by extending their studies to 39 credit hours over up to two years, students can pursue departmental certifications in specialized tracks such as Corporate Finance, Risk Management Analytics, Financial Big Data Analytics, Corporate Financial Analytics, or FinTech.

STEM-Designated Specializations Enhancing Career Opportunities

Four of the five available specializations—Corporate Financial Analytics, Risk Management Analytics, Financial Big Data Analytics, and FinTech—are STEM-designated. This designation allows eligible international students on F-1 visas to apply for up to 36 months of Optional Practical Training (OPT), providing extended opportunities to gain work experience in the U.S. These tracks emphasize quantitative skills, data analytics, and technological proficiency, aligning with current industry demands .​

Experiential Learning through Real-World Projects and Competitions

The program emphasizes practical experience by integrating real-world projects, industry seminars, and team competitions such as the CFA Research Challenge.
