Google-Coached Hackathon & Real-World Experiential Learning

A three-day Hackathon coached by Google engineers offers real-world experiential learning for students, where they explore new technologies, analyze large datasets, and leverage AI to develop strategic recommendations.

Mandatory 4-Month Analytics Internship

All candidates participate in a 4-month Analytics Consulting Internship with renowned firms to obtain real-world experience and hands-on business skills. Students can apply for two main streams: an analytics research project supervised by UBC Sauder's Centre for Operations Excellence, or a traditional internship contributing to an analytics project onsite at a partner company in Vancouver.

Strong Career Outcomes in a High-Demand Field

From the 2024 class, 77% were employed within three months of graduation, with salaries reaching CAD $104,000. Grads join a global community of over 52,000 alumni from 100+ countries.

3-Year Post-Graduation Work Permit for International Students

The UBC MBAN is a 12-month full-time program starting every August at the Vancouver campus.The tuition fee is CAD $66,423, plus a student association fee of CAD $1,215 and an application fee of CAD $157.25.
Applicants require a three or four-year Bachelor's degree with a B+ average, a GMAT score of 667 (with at least 50th percentile in quantitative and verbal sections) or a GRE score of 155 on both sections.It is strongly recommended that applicants have some exposure to university-level courses in statistics, calculus, and linear algebra, and experience in computer programming, data analytics or mathematical modeling is also an asset.
No minimum full-time work experience is required to apply to the UBC Sauder MBAN program. The program welcomes both recent graduates and early-career professionals with quantitative backgrounds.
The program includes a signature industry-focused Hackathon with a global technology partner bringing real-world problem solving into the classroom, followed by a 4-month experiential learning component either an Analytics Internship, Group Consulting Project, or Individual Research Project
