The program aims to develop better thinkers and programmers, providing mastery over fundamental topics in computer science and allowing specialization in areas such as security, graphics, databases, networking, and distributed systems.
A total of 36 credits are required, including 3 foundational courses that must be passed with a minimum grade of B- and application-area courses covering topics like intelligent systems and data science
Students must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 in each semester and successfully complete at least 66% of attempted credits to remain in good academic standing.
The previous internal transfer option was discontinued in January 2024; transfers now require a fresh application through the standard admissions process.
Applicants with non-CS backgrounds can be considered but may need to complete preparatory coursework like the Bridge to Tandon program before fully enrolling.
