The MSBA program is a full-time, 12-month program that begins in September and concludes in August. It follows a structured, lockstep curriculum based on a cohort format.
Yes, the MSBA program is STEM-designated, allowing international students to apply for a 24-month Optional Practical Training (OPT) extension beyond the standard 12 months, totaling 36 months of OPT.
The curriculum includes significant use of Python and R, providing students with hands-on experience in these programming languages.
The MSBA program does not have an internship built into the curriculum. Instead, students complete a semester-long experiential learning project during the summer semester, working directly with partner companies to derive business value from data analytics.
International study or study abroad is not offered as part of the MSBA program structure or curriculum.
The Carlson School provides dedicated career coaching, resume workshops, interview preparation, and access to on-campus recruiting with top firms through its Career Center.
