What makes MSU Broad's
Full-Time MBA Different!

21-Month Immersive Curriculum with STEM Option

The program is a 54-credit, 21-month immersive experience in East Lansing with four concentration tracks: Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, and Human Resource & Strategic Management. Students can also opt for the STEM MBA track with quantitatively intensive coursework in Finance, Supply Chain, or Marketing — which qualifies international students for 3 years of OPT work authorization instead of 1 year, a major advantage for those seeking U.S. employment.

Best ROI in the Big Ten

The Broad Full-Time MBA is ranked #1 in the Big Ten for percentage increase on pre-MBA salary and recognized by Forbes for the fastest payback period across all ranked U.S. MBA programs — graduates recover their tuition investment in just 3.6 years. With average starting salaries of $120,000 and $20,500 signing bonuses, it's one of the highest-value MBAs nationally.

Extensive Financial Support — 90% of Students Funded

The program awards over $2.6 million annually in competitive, merit-based fellowships and graduate assistantships. Approximately 90% of Full-Time MBA students receive some form of financial support, with awards ranging from $2,000 to $31,000, plus in-state tuition rates for over 80% of students. All applicants are automatically considered for funding — no separate application needed.

Small Cohort with Personalized Career Support

With small incoming classes (54 students in the Class of 2027), Broad offers an intimate learning environment with significant faculty access and peer collaboration. The Russell Palmer Career Management Center and Deloitte Foundation Interview Suite provide one-on-one career coaching, mock interviews, resume workshops, and mentorship from second-year MBA coaches — driving a 93%+ placement rate within 6 months of graduation.

Strong Recruiting Pipeline

Top employers hiring Broad MBAs include Amazon, BCG, Dell, P&G, Microsoft, Deloitte, PwC, Ford, General Motors, Stryker, and PepsiCo. Technology (32%) is the largest hiring industry, followed by consulting and consumer products (16% each), and healthcare/pharma/biotech (12%). This breadth gives graduates flexibility across industries, from Big Tech to traditional manufacturing and consulting.

Frequently Asked Questions

Get all your questions answered about Full-Time MBA by MSU Broad

Typically, the Broad MBA program enrolls a class of approximately 75 students each year. Over the course of our MBA experience, each student has an opportunity to network with approximately 225 students, including approximately 75 in the second-year class during the student’s first year and then another 75 who will be in the first-year class during the student’s final year.
The 21-month MBA program follows a traditional academic calendar. Students begin the program in mid- to late-August and complete their first year of studies in the spring of the following year. Our flexible curriculum allows first-year students to choose detailed courses in their concentration areas, just in time to apply their new knowledge to summer internships. During the summer, MBA students work as interns with leading corporations and consulting firms. Elective courses are continued during the second year, and graduation takes place in early May.
While we do not have a minimum GMAT/GRE score, our average score is a 674. GMAT/GRE score alone does not guarantee or deny admission to the program.
The Broad MBA requires all non-native speakers of the English language to take the TOEFL, IELTS, PTE or Duolingo assessment exam. Candidates should achieve scores at or above the Broad MBA minimums: 250 on computer version of the TOEFL exam 100 on iBT (Internet-Based Test) TOEFL exam 7 on IELTS exam 105 on Duolingo 70 on the PTE Candidates who score below these minimums might not be accepted. Valid test scores must be received with the application for admission packet. Application packets without the test scores will be considered incomplete and will not be reviewed until the score is provided.
You are not required to send in your statement of financial proof at the time of application. We will need this document only if you are admitted to the program.
